Alrosa – is the leader of the world diamond mining industry. Alrosa offers the largest selection, the most attractive prices and a guarantee of the authenticity of diamonds – as a company that produces and cuts a third of all diamonds in the world.

The task of the project was to develop a catalogue of rare coloured diamonds that would contain detailed information on each diamond auctioned by the company.

Only 1% of all mined diamonds of jewelry quality refers to color, so through the catalog it was necessary to convey the highest rarity and value of fancy shades of diamonds. And to form knowledge about the colored diamonds of Alrosa on the international market.

The design of the catalogue is based on the museum concept. Visually, the concept is revealed by the images of ancient classical art, as the style elements used details of the museum attributes. Photo images of diamonds are placed on pedestals, under glass domes, which indicates the uniqueness and uniqueness of each stone, that each of them deserves a place in the best museums of the world.

An additional technique was the use in the design of half-title catalog of natural textures (photorealistic surfaces of rocks, volcanic rocks). Diamonds are placed in the context of wildlife, which allows us to emphasize that these are real, "born" diamonds of genuine quality and noble origin.

The diamonds in this category are most valued color – hue and saturation – so as the main background of the catalog uses a neutral marble, which reveals the depth of the color of the stones presented, allows them to become even brighter, more attractive. All diamonds are valuable, but some especially – this idea is reflected in the catalog of ALROSA. We carefully emphasized and highlighted the advantages of stones (color, faceting, shine), their characteristics, value and uniqueness.
